Sheela Palace
About This Spot
Stepping into Sheela Palace in Lucan feels like slipping into a welcoming corner of Kerala far from the bustle of everyday life. The space hums with the quiet energy of people gathering to share meals that carry stories and traditions across the miles. Time seems to slow just enough here, inviting guests to savor not only the spices but the subtle rituals that make the experience feel truly homey.
This is the kind of place where the pace is unhurried, yet attentive—the rhythm of service mirrors the warm, familiar conversations you might find in a close-knit community kitchen. The atmosphere strikes a balance between casual comfort and a quietly refined authenticity, where every gesture, from a steaming cup of chai to the carefully layered biryani, feels like a small act of care.
When the food arrives, it’s never merely about sustenance but a gentle unfolding of flavors that evoke memories and place. Whether it’s the crisp, delicate folds of dosas or the rich, spiced depths of a slow-cooked curry, each dish invites you to pause and appreciate. There’s a satisfying harmony in how the menu blends familiar favorites with hints of regional specialties, making it a warm space for both newcomers and those seeking the comfort of traditional Kerala tastes.
Above all, Sheela Palace offers an unassuming charm—where the kindness in the service complements the food’s authenticity. It’s a place rooted in connection, where patrons return not just for a meal but for the quiet joy of shared moments, simple pleasures, and an enduring sense of belonging.

Lunch buffet - nalla food uh, nalla service uh, nalla taste uh, 20€ worth uh. Chaaya .Don't trust the bad reviews they might be late and complaining about everything. If you know how people go on with a buffet you know. So be there at right time to enjoy the food.

I have been to Lucan sheela palace multiple times.i love their breakfast buffet for 12 euros…the uzhnuvada were soft and delicious. The lunch and dinner buffet has never disappointed us except for once when there wasn't a refilling of fish curry. I have gone there after that several times but have never come across that problem. I recommend this place to any malayalis who love authentic Kerala food.

Had an absolutely lovely experience at Sheila Palace! The food was super delicious — fresh, flavourful, and served hot. A special shout-out to Shahid, whose service was excellent. He was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect. Highly recommend — will definitely be back!
